The Sam Chase Trio will fill the historic space of The Old Parcels Office with their soundscape on November sixth. Expect a blend of intricate improvisation woven through the air, creating a palpable hum of live music. The performance promises an evening where the resonance of saxophone and rhythm guide the audience through musical currents.
A Scarborough debut after a scintillating show in Filey 2 years ago.
THE SAM CHASE TRIO, also known as “The God Particle Of Music,” by all who have hypothesized of his existence before his discovery 10 years ago, eminent singer-songwriter The Sam Chase strides out of the hadron collider flanked on one side by Chandra Johnson, violin heroine, and on the other by Devon McClive, renowned and feared cellist at large. Their songs matter to the masses in the same way that the Higgs boson gives mass to all matter. Their music is the Big Bang to a universe of sound.
Some say that their music has the potential to destroy the universe, but it is a risk that we should be willing to take. This is what you get when deftly bowed strings collide with ironclad songwriting. This is the pure distillation of adventure and heartache of American song.

Line-upThe Sam Chase
The Sam Chase has a voice like a Nun on the lam with a mouthful cigarettes and curse words in a lonely bar, drunkenly dancing next to a broken jukebox. His songs are scribbled, not written, on lipstick and sweat stained motel bedsheets because he likes the way the ink bleeds. His guitar runs on diesel and leaks like the morning after too much Whiskey. His is a show you'll probably want to tattoo on your body so everyone will know that you knew him before he was cool.
