This month we will be looking at books by GLL Literary Foundation author and illustrator Jane Porter

For the remainder of this year each month we will be focusing on a GLL Literary Foundation author. The GLL Literary Foundation is a support programme for authors, which champions public libraries and inspires reading.

Join us for a brilliant session this month as we explore books written by Jane Porter one of our Chapter 2 authors, including Be Bold Bob illustrated by Jenni Desmond and King Otter written and illustrated by Jane hersef. In addition to sharing Jane's books we will decorating our own King Otter crowns! For children aged 4-7 and their parents and carers.

Just over a year ago, GLL launched the GLL Literary Foundation to support early career children’s authors, inspire children to engage in reading and to champion public libraries.

During its first year, the Foundation supported 20 children’s authors to deliver over 60 events in Bromley, Greenwich, Wandsworth, Dudley and Lincolnshire, engaging more than 3,000 children and over 500 adults in reading.

This is an incredibly exciting and unique initiative, offering us the opportunity to champion and support our local authors, get inclusive books into the hands of children and connect them to authors who will engage and inspire them!

Each ticket is for 1 adult and 1 child. If you are coming with more than 1 adult or more than 1 child, please book additional tickets.

Tickets are free but places are limited, so if you are unable to attend, please cancel so the place can be used by someone else.
