About This Event

This live theatre experience brings the beloved modern classic to life across the grounds of Knole. Families are guided on an immersive journey through the parkland and into the Orangery to encounter twelve hand-painted sculptures. Admission is required for this enchanting story that unfolds within the historic setting.

Explore with family and friends as you go on an exciting adventure around the parkland and into the Orangery to find the 12 hand-painted sculptures.

'The Gruffalo' is a modern classic with themes of courage and adventure, created by writer Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler. Each of the giant sculptures has been painted by artists, with designs inspired by the patterns, shapes, and environments found in nature.

The Gruffalo at Knole is presented by the National Trust and Wild in Art, in collaboration with Magic Light Pictures.

Explore the trail from Saturday 29 August - Sunday 1 November.

Pre-booking admission to Knole is essential to guarantee entry. This trail is included with normal admission. The minimum admission ticket required is an Outdoor and Tower ticket per person.
