Wrotham School - Transition Experience - September 2027 Starters

We aim to help all students make a successful and enjoyable transfer to Secondary education. To support this, we are offering transition experiences on a Thursday after school during Term 1 2026.

The experiences are open to all students that will be in Year 6 in September 2026 and are considering Wrotham School as their secondary school choice from September 2027.

The purpose of the transition experience is to provide a ‘taster’ of education in a secondary school where students can extend their talents in subjects of their choice. Students can attend one subject per date.

The one hour experience will run as follows:

3:30pm - students to report to the theatre and sign in

3:40pm - students will be collected from the theatre by a teacher and taken to the classroom

4:30pm - students will be escorted back to the theatre for collection by parent/carer

Thursday 24/09/26 Choose from Design Tec/Science/English/Geography/Dance

Thursday 01/10/26 Choose from PE/Art/IT/Maths

Thursday 08/10/26 Choose from Drama/Science/Geography/Music/English

Thursday 15/10/26 Choose from Design Tech/Maths/History/IT/Languages

Students attending the PE experience should arrive in primary school PE kit or similar sports wear with trainers (non-marking soles). Students attending other experiences should attend in primary school uniform. Please bring a drink bottle to all lessons.
