About This Event

Desert Storm bring their distinctive hybrid of stoner, sludge, and doom metal to Corporation in Sheffield on Saturday 14 November 2026. The Oxford band, formed in 2007, have earned a reputation for dense, shifting soundscapes that move from slow-burning weight to corrosive, riff-driven intensity. Their music resists easy categorisation, favouring atmospheric tension and intricate dynamics over the more straightforward conventions of heavy metal. Expect a set that draws on their full catalogue, weaving together hypnotic grooves, abrasive textures, and moments of brooding calm. The show kicks off at 7pm, and tickets are priced at £15. Those familiar with the band’s previous work will know to anticipate a performance that prioritises depth and nuance over mere volume, though the volume will certainly be considerable. For newcomers, this is an opportunity to experience a band that has quietly become a cornerstone of the UK’s underground heavy scene. Corporation’s intimate setting should provide the perfect backdrop for Desert Storm’s immersive, weighty sound. Don’t arrive expecting simple headbanging; this is music that demands engagement, rewarding patience with moments of crushing payoff. Doors open in the early evening, and given the band’s loyal following, early arrival is advisable to secure a good spot.
