Eyam: The Plague Village | Winter Wellbeing Walk
A winter walk through a village with a remarkable story.
Our final Winter Wellbeing Walk takes us to Eyam, exploring the village and surrounding Peak District landscapes on an 8.5km guided walk.
Eyam is perhaps best known for its extraordinary history and the story of its community during the plague of 1665.
Another opportunity to get outside, walk, talk and reconnect as winter begins to draw towards spring.
We'll explore some of this fascinating local history as we walk, while also enjoying the surrounding countryside, winter views and quieter landscapes.
Expect a classic Peak District experience that will make you glad you put your boots on - even when getting out of the house felt like the harder part.
Along the way we'll enjoy:
🥾 The dramatic landscape
🏔️ Far reaching views
🌄 Learn about the facsinating history of the village
💬 Plenty of time for conversation and connection
☕ A chance to pause at a local pub or café during or after the walk for a drink (any purchase is not included in the price of your ticket)
Who are the Winter Wellbeing Walks for?

Safety and your participation:
The core hope for my walks is that they are enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone so we will keep to a slow and steady pace. It's about taking in the views, learning about the area and being outdoors in nature. You are also responsible for your own health and safety and there can be risks with all outdoor activities. You'll be asked to complete a medical form before the walk to let me know of any medical conditions prior to the day.
Whilst I plan and recce my walks, they are still subject to route adjustments where weather or other route conditions change in the days leading up to or on the day of your event. Any alterations are to ensure your safety and ensure you still get an enjoyable time out.
I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and Outdoor First Aid trained so will be on hand in case of an emergency.
