Join storyteller Beth Guiver and musician Lucy Huzzard for a bold, funny and moving show inspired by the ancient folklore of shapeshifters and skin shedders. With tight narrative, voice, harmony, character, song and instrument they breathe life into these old stories promising a wild ride through the landscapes of medieval Ireland and fairy tale Scandinavia!

This is traditional storytelling freshly imagined and the gaze shifted for modern times.

Beth Guiver is a professional storyteller based in Sheffield. She has been spinning a spell of traditional stories across the UK for 15 years; in roundhouses, museums, festivals, residential homes, schools, theatres, residential homes, in bandstands and under fabulous trees.

Beth firmly believes that storytelling connects us to our collective best imaginative potential and loves to be part of the magic when we re-dream our shared land, myth and heritage.

From a lifetime steeped in European folk music and dance, Lucy Huzzard weaves traditional melodies, new compositions and evocative soundscapes into Beth’s story-scapes. On melodeon, percussion, voice and ukulele she accompanies Beth as they take the audience through the door into the story realm.

Doors open at 7.00 p.m. Get a drink from the bar the show starts at 7.30pm. Suggested donation £8-£10.
