Based in the beautiful village of Castleton, we’ll spend four days discovering a different side of the Peaks. From the towering gritstone cliffs of Stanage Edge and the classic Mam Tor and Great Ridge to the wild landscapes above the Derwent reservoirs and the summit of Win Hill, this trip brings together some fantastic Peak District walking. November gives the hills a completely different atmosphere. Expect crisp autumn days, rugged moorland, dramatic skies and cosy evenings back at our hostel after a day outdoors. Always carry a waterproof jacket. • Check the forecast and bring sun cream, a hat, or sunglasses for warm days, and waterproofs, a warm hat, and gloves for cold or wet days. • Wear trousers or leggings to reduce the risk of tick bites and nettle stings. Avoid denim or cotton. • Sturdy walking boots are essential.
