About This Event

The Sheffield Comic Arts Fair is set to return to Trafalgar Warehouse on Saturday 10 October 2026, with doors opening from 10am. This free event shines a spotlight on independent and small-press comic creators, bringing together a diverse mix of local and visiting artists who will be showcasing their original work. Classified as a workshop event, the fair offers attendees the unique opportunity to view original artwork up close and engage directly with the makers themselves. The atmosphere is designed to encourage conversation and discovery, allowing visitors to learn about the creative processes behind each piece. With a strong emphasis on self-published and alternative comics, the event aims to celebrate the breadth of talent flourishing within the city’s independent scene. Whether you are a seasoned collector or simply curious about the medium, the fair provides an accessible platform to explore the vibrant, often boundary-pushing world of small-press comics. It promises to be a day of creativity, connection, and community, highlighting why Sheffield continues to be a hub for distinctive and original comic artistry.

An indie comics-centric event in the Steel City (Sheffield), highlighting local and not-so-local small press and indie comic creators!

SCARF (Sheffield Comic ARts Fair) will be a free entry event with a focus on indie and small press comic creators from across the UK.

Trafalgar Warehouse sits nestled in the heart of Sheffield city centre offering a distinct yet flexible event space which seamlessly blends 1930’s industrial charm with modern versatility, catering for a variety of occasions. For the inaugural SCARF (Sheffield Comic ARts Fair), we'll have one room, 38 exhibitor tables with 45 exhibitors and a relaxed atmosphere. There will also be a Reading Corner run by Graphic Novel Reading Room where you can kick back with a cold beverage from the venue bar and read the books you've bought (or one of GNRR's curated selection.)

Trafalgar Warehouse is an old industrial building in the heart of Sheffield City Centre, a short walk from Devonshire Green and just behind the Corporation night club. The main pedestrian entrance is to the front of the venue on Trafalgar Street.

The venue is wheelchair accessible but if you have trouble using stairs, or require step free access, please let us know and a volunteer can show you to the step free entrance.
