About This Event

Substance Awareness & Brief Interventions is a free workshop hosted by the Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service (DAAS) on August 4, 2026, from 10:30 AM onwards. Aimed at individuals keen to learn more about substance use and how to approach conversations around it effectively, this in-person course provides a six-hour introduction to substance-related issues in the UK. Attendees will gain confidence in navigating discussions on substances and have the opportunity to interact with leading experts in the field. The comprehensive training covers various aspects of substance use, offering participants tools and strategies for effective interventions.
