TAS Shropshire Adventure Weekend April 2027

A weekend of adventure and hiking based around All Stretton and Church Stretton in Shropshire.

I’ve found a bunkhouse that sleeps 10 people, costing £60 per person for two nights. If you’d rather arrange your own accommodation, you’re also very welcome to just join us for the activities.

Friday’s plan:

Arrive, settle in and have a social evening at the bunkhouse.

I’m happy to organise a load of pizzas, snacks etc. Just bring your own drinks.

Saturday’s plan:

The morning

Breakfast at the bunkhouse - I’ll arrange pastries, bread for toast, fruit, cereal etc.

There’ll be a choice of optional adventure activities, so you can pick what you fancy:

* Tandem paragliding in Church Stretton – £170pp if more than 5 people book, otherwise £200pp

* Bouldering in Shrewsbury – around £15pp

* Wild swimming in Church Stretton – free

Saturday afternoon

Carding Mill Valley orienteering challenge in small groups.

There will likely be a prize for the winning team because I’m competitive as f***, and so should you be.

Saturday evening

Dinner either at the bunkhouse or at a local pub, depending on what everyone fancies.

Sunday

Simple breakfast sandwiches at the bunkhouse, followed by a Carding Mill Valley / Long Mynd hike before everyone heads home.

Optional pub lunch afterwards for anyone who isn’t in a rush to leave.

Costs

Accommodation: £60pp

Food contribution: £15pp

The food contribution will cover Friday night pizzas and snacks plus breakfast on Saturday and Sunday – cereal, pastries, fruit etc. on Saturday and simple breakfast sandwiches before the hike on Sunday.

So the minimum cost for the weekend will be around £75pp, plus whichever Saturday activity you choose, pub food and drinks.

The £75 food and accommodation cost will need to be paid when you book your place so I can reserve the bunkhouse.

Saturday activities will be confirmed and paid for a bit closer to the time once we know numbers.

All places are non-refundable but if you’re unable to make it, your place can be transferred to someone else.
