Statistically proven as the fastest 10k course in the UK. This is a generally flat 2 lap traffic free, very well sheltered tarmac course using Telford Town Park, and the Silkin Way (a former railway line). Last year we used the slightly hillier alternative course due to a landslide on our usual route. We hope to be back to our usual route this year.

Race headquarters next to the start is again at Telford International Centre. UK Athletics licensed event and certified course measurement.

The event is open to runners of ALL abilities and particularly those wishing to achieve a personal best time.

New bespoke metal medal to each finisher.

10.15am. Wave 1 is for Elite men 28 to 30.30 and limited further men 30.30 to 31 minutes.

10.40am. Wave 2 is for Elite ladies and further men and ladies 30.30 to 37 minutes.

11.15am. Wave 3 is for further ladies and further men and masters all 31 to 41 ish minutes.

11.50am. Wave 4 is for Masses OVER 40 minutes to 90 minutes plus. There is no time limit in wave 4. We normally have Pacers at 5 minutes intervals from 40 to 75 minutes in wave 4.

Course record set in 2024 Jack Rowe 28-01, and in 2022 Samantha Harrison 31-10. Every year since 2021 we have had more runners under 30 minutes and under 35 minutes than any other race within the UK (record 58 runners under 30 minutes in 2024 based on chip time).

Elite athletes with qualifying times below, please contact us for automatic entry to Wave 1 for Men and Wave 2 for Ladies. First place £600, Second £400, Third £300, Fourth £150, Fifth £75, for both Male & Female.

New Course Record Prize £400.

Masters Prizes are: First man and first lady in each category: over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75. Also first under 20.

Please note the alternative 2025 route used was measured twice on 10 December 2025 by a UKA official course measurer and the race director. The measurer was also present at the race itself. Certificate number 25/555.
