New York-based singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy brings her distinctive vocals, eloquent guitar work sound to Sligo Live

New York-based singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy comes to Sligo Live for a solo performance at the Yeats Society Building. Known for her disarmingly direct vocals and eloquent guitar work, Glaspy has established herself as one of the most compelling songwriters in contemporary music, blending folk-leaning indie-rock with sharp storytelling and emotional honesty.

Following her acclaimed 2016 debut album Emotions and Math and 2023’s Echo the Diamond, Glaspy returns with her fourth full-length album, I Am Both. Produced by three-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and producer Joe Henry, the album features eleven tracks that move between fictional vignettes, personal revelations and observations of the world around her.

Written after stepping away from social media, the songs reflect a renewed creative clarity and a commitment to following her own instincts as a songwriter. From the lush storytelling of “Michigan” to the soulful harmonica and sharp wit of “Common Ground”, I Am Both showcases Glaspy’s distinctive voice and fearless approach to her craft.

Performing solo, Margaret Glaspy brings her songwriting and guitar work to the intimate surroundings of the Yeats Society Building for an evening of thoughtful, emotionally resonant music.
