Double G New Faces 2026 marks the graduation showcase for five comedians who have spent the last year honing their craft under the Double G Comedy wing. These performers will take the stage at The Attic Southampton on 9 December, presenting a fresh collection of stand-up routines born from months of rigorous training and live gig experience. Audience members can expect to witness talented individuals who have chased gigs across the UK and absorbed every lesson available to them before their big debut.
For the past 12 months, five exceptional comedians have been under the wing of Double G Comedy, honing their craft, chasing gigs across the UK, absorbing every lesson, taking every opportunity and putting in the miles to become the very best performers they can be.
Following an intensive selection process, these five were chosen from hundreds of applications for one simple reason: they had something special. Over the past year they’ve been pushed, mentored and challenged to sharpen every aspect of their performance; turning raw potential into stage-ready talent.
Now it’s time to see what all that hard work has created.
On 9 December 2026 at The Attic, Southampton, the New Faces Graduation Comedy Show marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It’s their final performance together as this year’s cohort before they head off to carve out their own paths on the UK comedy circuit.
For one night only, you’ll see five comedians at the point where potential meets opportunity. Some will go on to become regular names on the comedy circuit, and years from now you’ll be able to say you were there at the beginning.
So bring your friends, fill the room, and help give these five comedians the send-off they deserve. Your laughter, your applause and your support could be the start of something much bigger.
Catch them while they’re still New Faces.
Zak Lacey – Special Guest
Hampshire Comedian of the Year Zak Lacey is quickly establishing himself as one of the South Coast’s standout comedy talents.
Armed with razor-sharp observational humour, dry wit and tightly crafted writing, Zak turns everyday frustrations and personal misadventures into big laughs. Whether dissecting modern life or exposing the absurdities we all accept, he has a knack for finding the funny in the familiar.
With an ever-growing list of gigs across the UK, Zak is a comedian firmly on the rise and one you’ll be glad you saw early.
Laura Petty
Laura Petty is a comedy whirlwind with a vivid imagination, infectious energy and absolutely no interest in being subtle.
A lifelong performer, Laura grew up recreating The Fast Show and Bottom in her pink pyjamas before bringing her own unique voice to the stage. Her comedy blends eccentric observations, sharp wit and a brilliantly offbeat take on everyday life.
New to the circuit but already making an impression, Laura is larger than life in every sense; impossible to miss, impossible not to enjoy.
Phil Wood
Phil Wood first stepped onto a stage aged seven, playing a stormtrooper guarding the manger in his school nativity. It would be another 43 years before he returned to the spotlight.
After taking his first set to a Double-G Productions open mic, the laughter was enough to convince him he’d found what he’d been looking for. Since then, he’s performed more than 50 gigs across the UK, from Cornwall to Scotland, earning semi-final and regional placings in West End New Comedian of the Year, So You Think You’re Funny and Hampshire Comedian of the Year.
Phil’s comedy blends warm, big-hearted observational humour with honest, personal stories about mental health. Having lost 15 years to his own struggles, he writes with the hope that laughter can help others facing similar challenges.
A graduate of Double-G Productions’ New Faces 2026 programme, Phil made his Edinburgh Fringe debut after just over a year in comedy. His favourite achievement, though, isn’t the competitions or the festivals; it’s the friendships forged along the way.
The grinning stormtrooper has finally found his stage.
Archie Brettle
Archie Brettle has wasted no time making an impression on the comedy circuit. Since his debut in June 2025, he’s performed more than 100 gigs, progressed to pro nights, and regularly performs and MCs alongside established circuit acts.
Known for his sharp writing, relaxed confidence and effortless audience rapport, Archie makes every gig feel like a night out with friends. He’s also the host of two fast-growing comedy nights on the South Coast.
A member of Double-G Productions’ New Faces 2026 programme, Archie is currently writing his first full-length show while preparing for another big adventure; becoming a dad.
With serious momentum behind him, Archie is definitely one to watch.
Kev Perkins
Originally from Durban, South Africa, Kev Perkins brings sharp storytelling, warm charisma and an international perspective to the UK comedy circuit.
Inspired by classic British comedy on well-worn VHS tapes, Kev spent years dreaming of performing for UK audiences. After moving to England over a decade ago, he finally took the leap into stand-up and hasn’t looked back.
Drawing on life, relationships, middle age, cultural observations and the occasional questionable life lesson, Kev delivers intelligent, relatable comedy with warmth, honesty and razor-sharp observational humour.
Whether performing in intimate comedy clubs or on larger stages, Kev’s conversational style and natural storytelling mak
