Psych presents: Ignoring Izzy + Sonne

'Picture this: you’re in a supermarket. It’s silent. 6 kooks in dark mesh materialise from out of nowhere, armed with fringes, instruments, and a bag full of vegetables. The music starts it’s brash and chaotic. A leek flies past your face. You think nothing of it. A radish follows. It’s raining vegetables. But the singer has this witchy quality which sucks you in. You can’t leave, but you don’t want to.

Ignoring Izzy blend Post-Punk instrumentation with smokey Bond-girl vocals to create a high energy Dance-Punk/Electronica sound. On The Move Radio recently described the band as "Rockabilly Jazztronica", reflecting their genre blending sound. Inspirations come from LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa and Chemical Brothers.

Following the release of their latest single, Motorway Musk, (Described as “A skittish psychobilly turbulence entangles with jazzy post-punk sophistication, finished with rich, smouldering lead vocals that swirl around the track’s roguish instrumentals like perfect smoke rings” by Hard of Hearing), the band embarked on their debut UK tour and made their festival debut playing three sets across the weekend at Boomtown 2026. Come and Ignore Izzy with us.'
