Follow the lifecycle of a minibeast and explore the fields and woods on your journey through Itchen Valley Country Park

Join Mel, Senior Visitor Experience Officer, at Itchen Valley Country Park on a wild journey through woods and meadow on the search for minibeasts in their natural habitats. You'll learn about the lifecycle of these amazing insects as you expore the wild grasslands, search through fallen leaves and under logs.

Please wear suitable clothes for the weather and suitable footwear for walking on various surfaces, enclosed footwear recommended.

Bring along:

A bottle of water

Sunhat, sun glasses and suncream

Camera and or phone.

Who should attend: Families, children aged 5 - 8yrs

Sorry pets are not allowed to join a led walk unless they are a guide or assistance dog.

Itchen Valley Country Park is grazed by cattle and guided alpaca walks take place within the site.

Facilities: Toilets can be found by the Woodland Cafe

Accessible: There are sections of the route along narrow paths and a bridge that is not suitable for mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs.
