An exploratory walk along the fence lines, ditches, and hedgerows of the New Forest, followed by a monotype workshop using found materials.

The No Run Club presents Abundance at the Boundary. We often overlook the boundaries of the New Forest, the hedgerows, fences, ditches, and deadends that guide our pathways through the woods. In this workshop, @mountedsalmon will guide us into taking a closer look at those boundary lines, collecting discarded materials to create monoprints that reflect our experience of these stopping points.

This workshop will happen in two stages: The first is an exploratory walk along the fence lines, ditches and hedgerows around the village of Minstead, looking at what these manmade boundaries mean for the movement of local communities and wildlife - how they are stifled and funnelled - and the unexpected abundance that ends up coopting them.

Following the walk will be a playful monotype workshop in which we will use the collected materials to create are that celebrates the often overlooked diversity of life that calls these lines home. Each print will be a unique conversation with the New Forest, and attendees will be able to take these home with them afterwards. There is also the potential for the final pieces to be shown in an exhibition with the attendees consent.
