Calling all New Forest readers, writers and lovers of words: be a part of the future of the Play on Words Festival

You are warmly invited to an informal and friendly afternoon of discussion, ideas and meeting fellow word-lovers - accompanied by refreshments and cake!

Play on Words is the New Forest's festival dedicated to creative writing, reading and the spoken word. It was founded by two New Milton residents in 2018. The festival is led by a steering group of local writers, residents and cultural organisations and currently produced by ArtfulScribe CIC. In recent years, Play on Words has attracted over 2,000 people annually to more than 40 events, activities and exhibitions across the New Forest. Now, with your help, it’s time to look to the future.

Whether you're a writer or a reader, a festival regular or a first-timer, everyone is welcome. Come and share your ideas, whatever your favourite genre or style — help shape what comes next for Play on Words and support others to fall in love with reading and writing in the New Forest.
