On Saturday evening, we’ll find somewhere lovely to moor up, head ashore for a meal and a few drinks. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or completely new to sailing, you are welcome — it’s all about having a great weekend on the water and enjoying good company. This is a non-commercial trip run on a shared-cost basis. **The Plan** We will aim to meet on Friday evening 23 October in Port Hamble marina and have a meal in Hamble to get to know each other. On Saturday morning we'll leave in good time to have lunch at one of the many anchorages around the Solent and then probably head west to either Yarmouth or Lymington for the night. On Sunday we'll head back towards Hamble with a lunch stop on the way, aiming to be tied up in the marina and off the boat by 15:00hrs. Accommodation will be aboard the yacht in shared double cabins. **The Yacht** We plan to charter an Oceanis 37 sailing yacht that’s licensed to carry 8 people, but we’ll be a maximum of 7 including Co-Skippers to ensure everyone has a proper chance to be involved in the sailing. Accommodation will be in shared double cabins. You won’t be asked to share a cabin with someone of a different gender. The boat has central heating, hot/cold running water, a bathroom, a kitchen with a fridge, and more than enough electricity to charge your phone! There are UK 3 pin and continental 2 pin sockets on board so bring a continental adapter if you have one. **
