Southampton Pride is delighted to announce a free placard-making drop-in workshop, a fantastic opportunity for individuals to craft their own vibrant statements ahead of the main Pride celebrations. Partnering with the creative minds at ZEST Collective, the workshop will be held on Saturday 29 August at the historic God's House Tower. This inclusive event is open to all, offering a relaxed and inspiring environment to design and produce eye-catching placards. Whether you have a specific message you wish to convey or simply want to join in the creative spirit, this is the perfect chance to contribute to the visual spectacle of Southampton Pride. The workshop commences at 9am, providing ample time for attendees to unleash their artistic flair and prepare for a truly memorable Pride event. Come along, get creative, and make your voice heard!
Join us as we begin the celebrations for Southampton Pride 2026!
Drop in to get ready for the march, grab a coffee and design your own pride placard before heading over to Queen’s Park for the #SOProud march.
You’ll be met by artists from ZEST Collective who will have all the materials you need to make your own custom placard or banner for the march. Plenty of materials will be provided but feel free to bring or donate your own for the other makers.
God’s House Tower (GHT) is located on the western corner of Queen’s Park and we will be opening our doors early for this event so you can get your creative juices flowing before the big day.
Access and Quiet Spaces
The workshop space and ground floor café & bar have step free access from Lower Canal Walk and Town Quay Road. For information on parking and travel please visit the Plan your Visit page of our website.
