We’re bringing back the AlphaChess Christmas Edition for 2026! It’s a five-round FIDE classical tournament (80+10 – the same as some sections of the LJCC), and there are three sections: Holly (U1550 FIDE), Ivy (U1800 FIDE), and Mistletoe (1750-2400 FIDE). There’s an £1,000 prize fund (subject to meeting the entry threshold). Random cash prizes are also available in sections with 10+ players.

Our North London Gateway venue is under five minutes from a mainline station, with easy access to the A1(M) and M25. Flexible entries are available: play one game, several games, or a single day. Email us for a reduced rate. We are also keen to attract female players; female players completing all five rounds receive £10 cashback! We also accommodate unrated players and suggest they enter the Holly section.
