Entry fees range from £70.00 to £90.00, ensuring only those ready to commit to the grueling conditions can join the fray. This high-stakes sporting event promises a dramatic display of human resilience and fierce competition in one of the most demanding coastal environments on the globe.
Swim. Bike. Run. Or Just Swim and Bike. Or Bring a Team. Wales' Toughest Coastal Triathlon Returns to Broad Haven.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon brings a full field of triathletes to Broad Haven, a stretch of golden sand at the southern end of St Brides Bay in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Race the full standard distance triathlon (1.5k open water swim, 42k bike, 10k run), take on the swim-and-bike Aquabike, or split the distance across a relay team of two or three.
This is a serious test — the bike course climbs over 400m through rolling Pembrokeshire lanes, and the run's opening 3k along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path adds another 130m of climbing, with sweeping views over St Bride's Bay before you're back on the seafront. The event regularly forms part of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series (broadcast on S4C) and has hosted the Welsh Standard Distance Championships, so expect a genuinely competitive field alongside plenty of first-timers.
