Prevention Through Partnership: Pol-Ed in Knowsley

The Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP) and Merseyside Police are delighted to invite schools, education professionals and community organisations from across Knowsley to a special Pol-Ed showcase event.

Whether you're yet to sign up, have registered but not started using Pol-Ed, or are already making use of the platform, this event will help your school or community setting unlock its full potential and maximise the benefits available to staff and pupils.

Join us for two inspiring hours as we showcase the incredible free resources available to schools and community organisations across Knowsley. Together with colleagues from Merseyside Police and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership, you'll experience impactful sessions that bring these resources to life, helping to create a coordinated, layered approach to universal safeguarding, prevention and early intervention across Knowsley.

Developed by specialist PSHE teachers and quality assured by policing professionals at West Yorkshire Police for legal accuracy, Pol-Ed provides high-quality lessons, assemblies and enrichment activities that meet the requirements of the statutory PSHE and RSE curriculum and are fully mapped against the PSHE Association Programme of Study.

Pol-Ed offers a range of lessons, assemblies and interactive Passport activities delivered directly through the Pol-Ed platform. The programme covers all statutory PSHE content and more than 90% of the PSHE Association's Programme of Study, providing schools with a comprehensive and accessible package of resources.

The platform has recently been refreshed and expanded, with lessons now organised by year group and a minimum of 20 lessons available per year. A growing wellbeing strand continues to be developed, with new materials regularly added. Once fully populated, the site will contain over 250 lessons and activities, supporting schools to enhance pupils' knowledge, build resilience and develop the skills needed to make safe and informed choices.

Attendees will see first-hand how the programme supports a spiral curriculum approach, enabling children and young people to revisit and build upon important concepts throughout their educational journey.

By bringing together schools, community organisations, Merseyside Police and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership, this event aims to strengthen partnership working across Knowsley and develop a shared, consistent approach to safeguarding. Through aligned messaging and collaborative delivery, we can create a coordinated, layered model of prevention that supports children and young people both in school and within their wider communities.
