About This Event

A Soil Circus event by Maya Ronchetti will take place at Penrose in St Ives on 30 July 2026, requiring admission. The event will feature textiles and installation art exploring connections with nature in the UK.

Maya is a textiles and installation artist whose work explores the many ways people have connected with nature in the UK, drawing on cultural, historical and traditional stories, as well as more complex relationships with the natural world.

For this project, Maya has gathered, processed and dyed materials using plants found here, working closely with our volunteers and rangers to forage and collect natural dyes that have inspired and shaped the finished pieces.
