About This Event

The Core-Chestra Music Collective brings together musicians and vocalists in St Ives for collaborative music-making sessions. The group is described as friendly and imaginative, open to both performers and enthusiasts.

Are you a musician, vocalist, or simply enjoy creating music with others? Join the Core-chestra Collective – a friendly and imaginative group of musicians coming together to explore a wide variety of styles, including folk, funk, gypsy jazz, nature-inspired pieces, and original works. The group meets regularly at the Core building on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. Open to all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned players, this is a space focused on creativity, collaboration, and enjoying music together. Sessions take place at The Core, with occasional performances at Orchard events. From time to time, the group also hosts ceilidh and folk dance evenings. You can check out some of the music created at the Orchard – here , and new ideas and song suggestions are always encouraged. If you’d like to get involved or find out more, feel free to get in touch, or simply turn up and join in. Everyone is welcome!
