Ever wondered how books are actually put together? Spend a full day learning traditional bookbinding techniques and make a drop dead gorgeous hand-bound book to take home. You’ll learn how to fold and prepare the pages, sew them together and construct a proper book by hand, with plenty of time to get to grips with the techniques as you go. This is a hands-on workshop rather than a demonstration, so you’ll be making throughout the day. No previous experience is needed as you will work through the processes along with your tutor Jane Killips from The Cornish Design Co. All materials and equipment are provided. Tea and coffee are provided at The Art Room and you can bring your own packed lunch to eat in the space. Alternatively the cinema restaurant opposite is open for food, as is the Buttermarket
