Come and learn the fastest-growing sport in the World that is a cross between Tennis, Table Tennis and Badminton
Pickleball Stirling – “Get Into Pickleball” Beginners Session
Ever heard the odd-sounding name pickleball and wondered what on earth it is? Think of a fast-moving mix of tennis, badminton and table-tennis that you play on a smaller court with light paddles and a plastic ball. The rallies are quick, the rules are simple, and because the court isn’t huge, you don’t need lightning-fast sprinting to enjoy a game.
Why give it a go?
Fun from the first rally – you can be serving and scoring within minutes.
Truly for all ages and fitness levels – gentle on the joints, great for hand-eye skills and easy to pick up whether you’re 18 or 74.
Ultra-social – doubles is the norm, so you’ll meet plenty of new people while you play.
Accessible – we supply the paddles and balls; just turn up in comfy sports gear and non-marking trainers.
What to expect at the session
A friendly welcome at The Allan Centre sports hall, Bridge of Allan.
A short run-through of the basics—scoring, serving and the famous “kitchen” line.
Plenty of guided court time with other beginners, helped by our qualified Pickleball Scotland Ambassadors.
Tips on where and when you can keep playing once you’ve had your taster.
