A morning of learning, networking and exploring local approaches to climate resilience across the Upper Forth

Join us at the beautiful Lodge Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle for a morning of learning, networking and exploring local approaches to climate resilience.

We’ll hear about two inspiring resilience projects from Forestry and Land Scotland and the Carse of Stirling Partnership. The morning will include a guided visit to the Allt Glas natural flood management trial site, followed by lunch and a presentation from the Carse of Stirling Partnership.

The event will be relaxed and informal, with plenty of time to connect with others, share experiences and enjoy being outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather and check the accessibility information below when booking.

Hosted by FEL Scotland - Forth Valley Climate Action Hub, the event forms part of ongoing work to explore learning, collaboration and opportunities for a Forth Flood Forum.

Accessibility - The meeting point at the David Marshall lodge is fully accessible with disabled parking, toilet facilities and a café. Our site visit in the forest will follow formed pathways to the flood management structures so should be accessible to the vast majority of potential participants but may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Please note there are also no toilet facilities in the forest so please make use of the services at the lodge before we depart.

There will be some walking in potentially poor weather, please wear appropriate foot wear and clothing.

Dietary requirements - please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, lunch and snacks will be provided free.

Travel - We aim to provide a free bus from Stirling to this event, unless we are particularly low on numbers. We can support travel by reimbursing car share journeys. Please be in touch Climate@FELScotland.org if you would like some help arranging travel and we will do our best to accomodate.
