Come celebrate the return of the sun and the lengthening days by getting warm around a campfire in the woods!

This family-oriented event will give participants the opportunity to explore our camp, play in the woodlands, and take part in a range of activities celebrating the Winter Solstice and the return of the sun. Expect storytelling, nature arts and crafts, and warm drinks!

As this is a family session, all ages are welcome. The activities are adaptable to any age and ability, and are as much for the children as they are for the adults!

The details

Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm

What to wear: Waterproofs, boots, and warm layers

Weather: The session will run in all but extreme weather that would make the woodlands unsafe. We will be in touch if it cannot run as planned.

Refreshments: Hot drinks and a snack are provided. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking.

Children: Must be supervised by their adult throughout.

Dogs: Sorry, dogs aren’t able to join us on this session.

Accessibility: Access is via woodland trails and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Booking

Each person attending needs their own ticket, including adults. Under 2s are free. Maximum 20 places.

Who’s running the session

The session is led by a qualified Forest School leader with outdoor and paediatric first aid training.
