Join us for a night of rock 'n' roll as we celebrate the legacy of the legendary George Parish

On the evening of Saturday 5th September 2026, from 7pm until midnight, Rosie Driver, the granddaughter of George Parish, will host a special rock ’n’ roll evening in his memory at Waterside Bar at GF Club in Banbury.

The event takes place just days before what would have been his 85th birthday and falls a little over two months before the 10-year anniversary of his passing, making it a particularly meaningful tribute.

For those that didn't know "our George", he was a former Banbury Mayor, town councillor, and Chair of Cherwell District Council, who was often affectionately referred to as Banbury’s “Rock ’n’ Roll Mayor” for both the rock 'n' roll nights he himself hosted and then, naturally, his lifelong love for the music genre.

The evening will celebrate his life and love of the music while raising money for Vale House in Oxford, the incredible specialist dementia home where he spent the latter years of his life, in addition to the Alzheimer's Society, which provides support to families like ours and funds groundbreaking research into this cruel disease.

So come and join us for a brilliant night of music and dancing, plus many opportunities to support the two causes that have supported us - and many other families in similar situations - so much.
