About This Event

The festival brings Rembrandt's Self-portrait in a Feathered Bonnet to Upton House and Gardens, where visitors can see the painting and learn about its history. The event is suitable for those interested in art and history. Admission is required.

Rembrandt van Rijn’s Self-portrait in a Feathered Bonnet (1635) is one of the great treasures of the National Trust’s collections and, for the first time, it’s on a national tour, enabling more people than ever before to ‘meet Rembrandt’ for a special guided slow looking experience.

Did you know, the average person spends just 8 seconds looking at a work of art? Slow looking provides a welcome break from the need to be busy and efficient, so give yourself permission to relax and take your time looking at this masterpiece with a free audio guide. What will you discover when you spend a little more time with Rembrandt?
