Looking after someone with cancer? Come and take a breath.
When a family member or friend has cancer, so much of your energy goes into looking after them. It’s easy to put your own feelings on the back burner while you deal with appointments, worries, and day-to-day life.
The Cancer Family & Friends Circle is just for you.
Run in partnership with Together We Can Northeast, it’s a free, friendly evening where you can meet others who get it, share a warm drink, and learn a few simple ways to cope with the stress.
What to Expect
We know showing up to something new when you’re already tired takes energy. We keep things as easy and relaxed as possible:
Zero Pressure: You don't have to speak if you don't want to. You are very welcome to just sit back, listen, and enjoy a quiet cup of tea or coffee.
Practical Ideas: Simple, down-to-earth tips on managing worry, scan dates, and daily burnout.
Warm & Friendly: Led by Rachel, an experienced cancer nurse who understands what families go through.
Easy Access: Free parking right outside and biscuits provided.
Who Can Come?
This is for any family member, partner, or friend supporting a loved one with cancer—no matter where they are in their diagnosis or treatment.
How to Join
We keep the group small so it stays comfortable for everyone. Tickets are free, but please book a spot so we know how many cups of tea to make!
