Get ready to groove with Smoove & Turrell live at the Ginger - A night of smooth beats and good vibes

Join us at The Ginger as we kick off the New Year in true North East style, with an afternoon and evening of soul, funk, Northern Soul, disco and dancefloor classics, building towards a very special headline party with the legendary Smoove & Turrell.

After an incredible response to their previous appearance, we're delighted to welcome Smoove & Turrell back to The Ginger for what promises to be one of our biggest celebrations yet.

Get ready for an afternoon of music, good vibes and plenty of dancing before the energy ramps up and Smoove & Turrell take over the party themselves.

Hailing from the North East, Smoove & Turrell have carved out their own unmistakable sound — a high-energy mix of Northern Soul, funk, soul, disco, hip-hop and electronic grooves, wrapped up in what they call Northern Funk.

At the heart of it all are producer and DJ Smoove and powerhouse vocalist John Turrell, whose combination of infectious production, huge melodies and Turrell's unmistakable soul voice has made them firm favourites on dancefloors across the UK and beyond. Their music has earned support from BBC radio and built a fiercely loyal following through years of touring and unforgettable live shows. Expect big grooves, soulful vocals, killer basslines, Northern Soul energy and tunes that are impossible to stand still to.

This isn't just another night out — it's a full New Year celebration at The Ginger.
