About This Event

Free family-friendly Nature Walk event hosted in partnership with Durham Wildlife Trust. This event is hosted by Somewhere Places project in partnership with Durham Wildlife Trust. During this family-friendly nature walk nature spotter sheets will be provided and we encourage you to download the free Seek (https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/seek_app)(nature ID) and Merlin (https://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/)(bird ID) Apps (not essential). Please note some areas of the walk are not buggy or wheelchair friendly. More About SOMEWHERE PLACES SOMEWHERE LAKE is part of a larger project - SOMEWHERE PLACES. Across September-October 2026, look out for a programme of environmental activities using Silksworth Lakes as its focal point. Participants are invited to engage creatively with the area through print-making, zine-making, and eco-poetry. Please dress for the weather and bring suitable waterproof clothing. Wear sturdy boots/footwear.
