A school teacher takes drastic measures to control her classroom: kidnapping the most disruptive child and locking him in her basement.

A primary school teacher tries her hardest to motivate her class of ten-year-olds, but struggles due to one disruptive child throwing her off course. After things escalate and her job is threatened, she takes things to another level, kidnapping the boy and locking him in her basement.

This dark comedy stars Oscar-nominated actor Saoirse Ronan as the troubled teacher, bringing a darkly witty performance as she grapples with the reality of what she's done while trying to instil a moral lesson for the troublesome student.
