A relaxed night out for couples who’d love to meet other local couples, make new friends and have a drink together.

Swindon Girls Social and Swindon Guys Social are teaming up for our first ever Couples Social, a chilled night out for couples who’d love to meet some new people locally.

Because you might both have your own friends, but finding other couples that you both get on with is a whole different story!

Maybe you’ve moved to Swindon, your friendship circles have changed, or you just keep saying “we need more couple friends”. Whether you’re looking for people to go for drinks with, double dates, pub trips, walks, holidays or just those last minute weekend plans, this is a chance to actually meet them.

And if one or both of you has been wanting to put yourself out there and meet new people but hasn’t quite felt brave enough to go to something alone, this is a pretty good place to start. You’ve already got your person there for moral support, and you can do it together.

What to expect

The evening is being organised and hosted by two young people behind Swindon Girls Social and Swindon Guys Social, so we know the thought of turning up to an organised “social” can sound a little awkward 😂

We want this to be the complete opposite.

Think chilled, low pressure and as un-cringe as possible. We’ll have exclusive use of the upstairs at Mackenzies and there’ll be a little bit of structure to help everyone mix and take away that awkward “so… what do we do now?” feeling, but plenty of time to just grab a drink, chat and get to know people naturally.

And it’s not only about making couple friends. There’ll be opportunities to mix in smaller groups too, so you might come away having found some new friends of your own as well.

Who is it for?

Both Swindon Girls Social and Swindon Guys Social are primarily aimed at people in their 20s and 30s, so that’s the general age group this event is designed around.

However, we know couples aren’t necessarily the same age! It’s not a strict age restriction, so if you’re a couple who feels like this event and community would be a good fit for you, you’re very welcome.

All couples are welcome. This isn't about who you're with, it's simply about meeting other people and making new friends.

And just to clear this one up...

This is NOT a singles or dating event!

You need to already have found your date. We’re just helping you find some mates 😂

Your ticket

One ticket is for TWO people and includes entry to the private event plus one welcome drink each.

Your welcome drink can be a house spirit & mixer, pint of Fosters or Inch’s, or a small house wine/prosecco.

Mackenzies also has Happy Hour until 9pm and 2-for-1 cocktails available throughout the evening.
