Volunteer for The Big Town Centre Clean-Up

This August, we're inviting people from across Swindon to come together and help make a positive difference through The Big Town Centre Clean-Up.

During the final two weeks of the month, council teams will be carrying out a programme of improvements across the town centre, including power-washing public spaces, removing graffiti, repairing paving and clearing weeds.

To support this work, we're looking for volunteers to help with a range of practical activities, including:

litter-picking

restoring and varnishing benches

refreshing flower beds and planters

Your support will help create a cleaner and more welcoming town centre for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

Sessions start at 10am and run for up to five hours (until 3pm) and you can sign-up for the date that works best for you.

Please note that activities will be allocated on the day, depending on operational priorities and the number of volunteers attending.

After registering, you'll receive further information closer to your chosen date, including where to meet, what to wear and what to expect on the day.
