Oval handbag basket weaving workshop

Create your very own basket using traditional weaving techniques. Learn about different types of willow, how they are grown and processed, and the tools you need for basket weaving.

During the day you will learn and practise a variety of different weaves. You will construct an oval base using a pairing weave, followed by waling, and construct the sides using a choice of weaves. Top it off with a woven border and leather handle! This event is best suited to those with a little weaving experience, although if you are an experienced crafter and good at picking up patterns you'll be fine!

All materials are included in the course price and tools will be provided.

Throughout the day refreshments will be provided including a delicious lunch. Please arrive in time to start promptly to ensure you have time to finish your basket.
