Join us for an evening with Amanda James and Fiona Leitch, who will be discussing their new Cornwall-based novels.
We are very excited to welcome Amanda James and Fiona Leitch to Waterstones, for a very special evening in conversation, talking about their most recent books, as well as their careers as bestselling authors.
About the authors
Amanda James's acclaimed, 5 star-rated book The Secret Library is a magical tale dedicated to stories, hidden lives, and a battered box of hidden stories. This is for anyone who knows how just one book can change a life . . .
Cornwall and its beaches serve as a huge inspiration for Amanda, where she can often be found exploring, while seeking out her next story.
For many of our regular customers, Fiona Leitch's books will need no introduction. Funny, clever, and a huge amount of fun, her cosy crime series of murders beside the seaside are regular bestsellers in our local crime department.
And this is no less so in Fiona's newest book, A Cornish Halloween Murder, book 11 in her Cornish murder series. This time, When a developer buys the abandoned convent and cottage hospital of St Ann’s on the edge of town, locals are aghast at his plans to turn the site into apartments. One of the builders is found dead at the bottom of a staircase. Has a spectre from the convent’s past come back to take revenge on the living, or is it a killer of flesh and blood . . . ?
Don't miss this unique evening, where two authors who write in different genres unite over the thing that binds them both: their unmistakably Cornish settings.
After the talk there will be a Q&A, followed by a book signing. Please book your ticket early to avoid disappointment. Pre-ordered books will be available to collect on the night.
