The Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Champions for the Workplace session is scheduled for 10 December 2026 at Redruth Library & Information Service in Truro. Join us for a face-to-face session to learn how to become a Domestic Abuse Champion and share your knowledge and skills in your work place
The DASV Champions training is designed for colleagues who have a keen interest in Domestic Abuse, Sexual harassment/abuse and wish to deepen their understanding of what Domestic Abuse is and use routine enquiry principles to apply their knowledge to support colleagues and others connected to your organisation, experiencing abuse and/ or act as a specialist around domestic abuse for their organisation.
To book onto to this training, you will need to have attended Level 2 Understanding Coercive Control and either before or shortly after attend Level 3 Domestic Abuse, Stalking, Harassment and So-called Honour Based Abuse Risk Indicator Training.
The DASV Champions Training aims to;
Equip/enable Domestic Abuse Allies to identify, respond to and have meaningful conversations with Colleagues and others who are affected by Domestic Abuse and/or Sexual Harassment.
Have confidence in signposting to specialist services if asked
Identify when further advice, support and intervention maybe be required to increase safety for colleagues and others experiencing DASV.
Booking Conditions
This training is funded only for individuals who work and/or reside in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, United Kingdom. If you are booking with an address outside of Cornwall, please contact us via email in advance to ensure your booking is not cancelled. Out of county bookings will be cancelled without warning. If you would like this training for your team please contact the training team for procurement options - saferfuturestraining@barnardos.org.uk.
Cancellations can be made through your Eventbrite account, or via 'Manage my booking' on the original booking confirmation. Non-attendance and failure to cancel your booking will result in an email sent to your line manager with details of the missed session, and the commissioning team will be made aware of repeat non-attendance. Your organisation will also be charged for the unused training place.
By booking a space on training, you understand that your booking information will be shared with Cornwall Council, commissioners, and funding providers as part of funding requirements.
