Father Christmas is coming to Truro! Gather the family and head into the city for the popular Father Christmas Parade , a magical evening of festive fun in the heart of Truro. The evening begins at 6.00pm with a performance from Rock Choir Cornwall , bringing plenty of Christmas cheer to the city before the main event. At 6.30pm, the Father Christmas Parade will set off from Boscawen Street , as Father Christmas makes his special journey through Truro. Find a spot along the route, soak up the festive atmosphere and give him a wave as he passes by. This year the parade, which also features local dance groups, musicians and circus performers, is inspired by Dick Whittington & His Mousehole Cat, Hall for Cornwall’s Christmas Show. Taking place alongside Late Night Shopping in Truro, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a festive evening in the city. Browse the shops for Christmas gifts, explore the Boscawen Street Christmas Market , and round off your visit with seasonal food and drink at one of Truro’s cafés, restaurants or bars. A wonderful way to start the countdown to Christmas, the Father Christmas Parade is a festive favourite for families in Truro . The Parade Route From Boscawen St, the parade will go along St Nicholas St, Kenywn St, right at Little Castle St and on to River St. Then back along St Nicholas St, onto Boscawen St, Princes St, Green St and finishing at Back Quay.
