About This Event

The Creative Writing with Joy Winkler event will take place on 23 September 2026, at Tatton Park in Warrington. This event is free and will provide attendees with an opportunity to participate in a creative writing workshop.

Looking at Landscapes

Join us for this exciting creative writing workshop with former Cheshire Poet Laureate, published author, playwright and experienced workshop facilitator, Joy Winkler. Of this workshop, Joy says: "In this workshop, we will engage with our observational skills to describe a landscape which has been seen or remembered. Or maybe a landscape of the imagination. Let the reader engage with your depiction by being able to feel, smell, taste and hear it so that they can truly be immersed in ‘place’. The narrative you introduced to this place can chime with it or rail against it.”
