About This Event

Death or Glory will perform as a young musical tribute to The Clash at The Irish Club in Warrington on 19 September 2026. Formed by Tom Mannion on International Clash Day in 2023, the band aims to channel the energy of the original group's sound and spirit. The gathering celebrates the legacy of an iconic punk act through a dedicated stage performance rather than a general public festival. Ticket details are available directly from the venue.

Death or Glory are a young tribute to the only band that mattered – The Clash.

Formed on International Clash Day in 2023 by Tom Mannion, Death or Glory was created with the aim of creating a tribute to The Clash that is as like-for-like as possible. He was soon joined by Sam Smith, a Joe Strummer tribute act with an eye for detail and love for The Clash that matched that of Mannion. With the addition of Jack Newton’s razor sharp drums, the multi-faceted abilities of Matt Baron (Keys, Guitars, Harmonica, Percussion) and finally Darren McDowell on guitar and vocals, the band had all the ingredients they needed to recreate the studio sound of The Clash in the live arena.
