FREE writing workshops for children aged 7-11 inspiring them to imagine life in 2050 and write a short story about the future.

Stories From the Future

As part of the Future 2050 project 2026 in the Liverpool City Region we are running FREE creative writing workshops to inspire children aged 7-11 to write a short story about life in the future which can also be included into a published anthology.

Everyone who writes a short story will receive a free copy of the anthology and extra copies will be added to all six of the library services in the Liverpool City Region.

Further, children will have the opportunity, if they want, to read out their story at a special storytelling celebration event at Liverpool Central Library.

Please note that this course consists of two sessions, the first on Saturday 28th November 10.30am to 12.30pm at Halton Lea Library and the second online on Monday 30th November 5pm to 6.30pm. A link to the second workshop will be sent to you closer to the start date. All workshops will be accessible and inclusive including neuro inclusive.
