Take part in the Great UK Water Blitz with us! Join Leamington Eco Hub for the Great UK WaterBlitz 2026 This September, Leamington Eco Hub is joining communities across the country to take part in the Great UK WaterBlitz – a nationwide citizen science initiative led by Earthwatch Europe to monitor the health of our rivers and waterways. We’re inviting local residents, families and volunteers to get involved and help build a picture of water quality in and around Leamington. By spending just a short time at a local water site, you’ll contribute valuable data that helps scientists, policymakers and communities better understand pollution levels and protect our rivers for the future. Why it matters Healthy rivers are essential for wildlife, climate resilience and community wellbeing – yet many UK waterways are under increasing pressure from pollution. The WaterBlitz empowers people to take action, turning local observations into national impact. What to expect A friendly introduction to the WaterBlitz and why it matters Simple, guided water testing using Earthwatch kits (no experience needed) Time outdoors connecting with local nature and community The chance to contribute to real environmental research Who can join?
