Reading Group for ESOL Learners Lillington Library

Our Reading Group for ESOL Learners is a relaxed and welcoming space for adults who are learning English as a second language and enjoy reading to talk about books in English or in their own language. You can read anything — from Penguin Readers to children’s books, cookbooks, or any book of your choosing. All ESOL learners are welcome, whether you want to join the discussion or simply listen and practise your English.

These sessions are great for:

Practising English in a friendly and informal setting

Sharing books you’ve read

Meeting others who are also learning English

Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Date: First Friday of the month

Age: 18+

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served
