H2O! 2 parts Hydrogen, 1 part Oxygen! From Molecule to Ocean…It’s the theme of this year’s Science Week! Participants will create a piece of Sand Art under Sean’s guidance using rakes! We recently created a giant H2O in the sand as part of the launch of Science Week and now we have designed a public H2O workshop!
Where? Kilmurrin Cove, The Copper Coast, Waterford.
When? Wednesday, November 11th, from 11am to 1pm
Mindful Experience: This is a genuine experience of the simple and mindful process of making temporary art in nature. Immerse yourself in your surroundings. Loose your inhibitions! Surrender yourself to the freedom of it all! We call these ‘Sand Art Experiences’.
Accessibility: A reasonable level of mobility will be required. Over the course of 2 hours you will have walked a few kilometres, but you can completely take it at your own pace. If you have any additional needs, just let us know in advance and we can tailor something to suit.
What to wear! What to bring! Please wear Crocs or flats sole trainers. No hiking boots please as they leave large marks on the sand. Bring a camera or a phone as there will be plenty of photo opportunities. Bring water or tea! Sean will bring along all the required tools.
Smile! Please note that a film of the event will be made so by booking a place you consent to being included in photos and videos. Weather permitting we will capture the footage from our drone and time-lapse cameras.
