King of the Beats is the DJ combo of PLUMP DJS, FREESTYLERS and KRAFTY KUTS...the three have been friends for many years, collaborated on records, events and shared many a tour bus and airplane journey together....so it was only a mater of time till they would share the decks...

How did It come about? In the dark days of the lockdown in 2020, when the rules changed and people were allowed to work but no more then 6 people in the group...the guys hit upon a idea....the legendary party boat, the biggest and best on the Thames in London, The DUTCH MASTER was like the rest of the planet just

sitting and waiting for the world to open up again... "But we can work in groups and our job is we are DJs” they said ....a quick phone call to the captain and the three amigos were sailing up and down the Thames playing loud beats as they went...a police helicopter was in hot pursuit and it wasn’t long before the river police pulled up along side...”what’s all this about?” They asked ....we are recording our DJs sets to be streamed your officer, there are only six of us on board and we are observing all the social distancing rules....”oh right - good on you lads carry on then” came the reply from the police...and the boat went up and down the Thames as the sun beamed down on them,

as the occasional person outside, doing their permitted

exercise waved as they went past and the various curtain twitchers

of the Thames pulled back their blinds to see what was going on....as the three DJs played back to back as they sailed up and down the Thames...That was great we should do this more often....the three amigos said...
