About This Event

Join DeadLive for a rare after-dark paranormal investigation inside the Museum of Wigan Life in the heart of Wigan. The museum occupies Wigan's first public library, designed by Alfred Waterhouse and opened in 1878. George Orwell researched The Road to Wigan Pier in the upstairs reference library in 1936. The DeadLive team will lead small groups through controlled vigils and paranormal experiments using a range of investigation equipment. There are no actors and nothing is staged. Paranormal activity can never be guaranteed. Event details Location: Museum of Wigan Life, 41 Library Street, Wigan, WN1 1NU Date: Saturday 17 October 2026 Guest arrival: 8.30pm Investigation: approximately 9.00pm to 12.45am Event finishes: 1.00am Tickets: £29 per person Age restriction: 18+ What to expect Guided vigils in selected areas Small-group experiments Time for personal investigation A respectful, team-led approach Opportunities to record your own experiences Important information Wear warm, comfortable clothing and sensible footwear. No alcohol and no entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bring a torch and any personal recording equipment you wish to use. Tickets are limited and advance booking is essential.
