A two-hour workshop titled 'Your Imagination Can Be Your Best Friend or Your Worst Enemy. You Choose!' will take place at Hindley Library in Wigan on 26 August 2026. The session costs £7.00 and explores the transformative power of imagination.
This 2-hour introductory workshop will involve Harnessing the Transformative Power of Your Imagination.

There are places for 6 adults.
Pre-Event Check in: 10am
Workshop: 10.30am - 12.30pm
The ticket price is £7.00 (£5.81 ticket plus £1.19 Eventbrite booking fee).
Ticket Sales end at 7pm Monday 24th August.
When we are feeling stressed about an upcoming event, or wondering how we will cope in the day ahead, it can be difficult to feel good about ourselves. In this session, you will learn about and have the chance to practice a short exercise called “Visioning the End of The Day or the End of an Event”. There’s a brief version of it and a very brief version. We will use both of them. ‘Visioning’ is one of my go-to ImageWork exercises because it has a wide range of uses in everyday life.
ESSENTIAL:
1. 18 years old and over
2. Able to respect time boundaries even if you have more to say, so that everyone who wishes to comment on their experience with 'Visioning' can do so.
DESIRABLE:
1. Able to look inside yourself and reflect honestly on your feelings, motives and actions even if you do not share these with the group.
2. Able to take responsibility for keeping yourself safe, especially during group feedback.
3. Able to make a sound judgement about what to share and what not to share out loud during group feedback.
4. Have a sense of spirituality and/or believe that there is a positive force in the universe working for the good of all living beings.
' Visioning' a situation or event in advance, helps me to stop worrying, let go of things I can’t control, relax and be the best that I can be. Here's an example:
Recently, I’d arranged to meet up with someone I hadn’t seen for a long time. An hour or so before the meeting, I realised that I was feeling quite anxious about being judged, afraid that my anxiety might lead me into bravado, making inappropriate comments that I’d be embarrassed to remember later. So, I spent around 15 minutes on ‘Visioning the End of the Meeting”. How did I want to be feeling as I said goodbye to this person after our meeting? What steps did I need to take and what attitude did I need to have that would likely help me feel satisfied that I’d done my best and had no cause for self-criticism? In comparison, which feeling did I want to avoid having? So, I chose the Vision of me feeling satisfied. I put that picture of myself feeling so good, in a bubble, imagining holding the bubble in both hands. I said aloud “I ask and intend for this to be”. And because I knew that I couldn’t be in complete control of how the meeting might go, I said “And I release it.” I blew that bubble far away across the oceans, through time and space, to a place in the Universe where time has no meaning, waiting to become my reality. Then I took that good feeling of satisfaction in my hand, placed my hand over my heart and said aloud “Thank you, I can already feel like that now”.
I’m very pleased to say that the meeting was 100% better than I could ever have anticipated.
Visioning really does work.
